It's happened to a couple of other businesses I know about over the last couple of months.

IrishBeerSnob Offline Posts: 482	I think Andrew has hit nail on the head as a potential cost - landlords are looking to squeeze now on successful businesses. Pity as it was a lovely bar, but its location was maybe one thing against it - if it was a little closer to the city centre. Hopefully they'll be back on the horse soon because the food was magic and the range of cask great too.

It's a long-standing problem with many Irish landlords who are so short-sighted and intent in bleeding businesses dry- who then go to the wall, leaving premises idle

But that's for another discussion, I really hope that the staff (who were always brilliant) are looked after and we see a new venture from these guys sooner rather than later.
