My PM boxes keep filling up and there seems to be no good way to delete multiple messages (or I'm just completely missing it) it's about 5 clicks to delete a single message, 10 to delete 2 etc... and once your folders fill up how the heck do you clear them out quickly?


I also notice messages sitting in my outbox for a LONG time; how do I actually tell them to send vs. sitting in the outbox?


I like the new site, and it's even working good on the mobile version now, but the messaging system seems like a downgrade.

A message will sit in your out box until the recipient reads it.

For the messages, I'm sure my inbox is full, but [i:1u9nd5mz]I think[/i:1u9nd5mz] it deletes an old one every time a new one arrives. Is that possible? Or did I just dream it?

As TBN says, just check the boxes, choose delete from the menu at the bottom, and hit go. If you want to keep things, put them into your saved items folder, or export them.

As noby says (this is a recurring theme, as it was the same with the old version) messages stay in your outbox until the recipient reads them. So basically, you're being ignored <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D --> I've one message in mine for months!

@noby, I think you're right, it'll push the old messages out if a new one comes in and you're over the limit (currently set to 60).

Actually, I think the messaging is a lot better then the old phpBB version.

I've noticed that when my Inbox is full, and I receive a new message, it says it is 'on hold'. I then need delete some of my inbox to make room and click 'release on hold messages' or something to that effect.
