Nancy Blakes in LImerick have agreed to host a beer club on a monthly basis, these will be held on a Friday evening (no work on Saturday <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D --> )

The idea is to have a relaxed beer event with some food pairings, it is not intended that there be tutored tastings or beer talks, the emphasis is on conviviality

I will advise on dates and more details in the near future. These nights are open to all and are intended to be fun events just bring an open mind and a sense of humour.

Don't mean to go OT, but what way does this work? Are beers sourced by yourself or Nancy Blake? Been looking to do something similar ourselves.

In this case I suggested the theme and the beers. Nancy's are buying them in and will charge us on the night. I have suggested Irish beers only to encourage drinkers, although that could change.

In the past I have organised other nights such as Irish, Belgian, British, American etc. Other nights were Allied beers to mark D-Day (June 6) IPA, German.

I presume you only list beers their suppliers carry?

I've asked for a few that I don't believe his suppliers carry, seemed quite willing to source them. We'll see next week, trying to emphasise Irish beer as I think we make some of the best stouts / porters in the world.
