Since I don't drink a lot of lager, I don't see the point of investing in the required kit. Also, I'm not confident that I'd ever be able to produce a brew that compared with Budvar.
However, it is my hope (and my wife's express wish <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D --> ) that I have some sort of dedicated brewing room in our home when we get settled in Ireland. Accordingly I think I will need some sort of dedicated refrigeration facility (yet to be decided what form this will take) so it may not be too difficult to have another go at brewing a lager at some stage. We shall see...
