Wanted: Crates for 750 mL swingtop bottles 17 years 3 days ago #1

New to this site. New to homebrewing.

Got myself 33 750 mL swingtop bottles. Now I've discovered 2 things:
1) Stackable crates for these bottles are hard to find.
2) The management (wife) is not happy about 33 bottles sitting around loose.

Any help/advice/suggestions?

Brew something the wife likes, then she will find somewhere for the bottles to live.

These will be hard to find. Your best bet is to get some wooden wine boxes and modify them.
Or go to the office supply shops for big plastic storage boxes.

Alas, beer is not her thing. Opposites attract, you see.

I was talking with my purveyor of exotic ales (off licence) because he stocks those big 750 mL beers (Chimay, Delerium Tremens, Meantime IPA, etc.), thinking he must get those delivered in crates. But apparently it all comes in wooden boxes. He suggested contacting one of the soft drinks suppliers (e.g. C&C). But I got no reply from them. So it looks like I'll have to make do with some wobbly box from B&Q.

Make her a fruit beer, she might change her mind.
Failing that, make some wine! I do wine with my wife so she has no issues with brewing.
I just bottled 26 bottles of wine this evening <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->
