French brewery internship 12 years 10 months ago #1

This came in via e-mail. It might be of interest to someone looking for a beery adventure abroad. I have contact details if anyone wants to give it a go, and I'll see if I can get the guy on to the site in person:
[quote:3nlhlxni]I would like to post an invitation for a work exchange offer in a brewery in the south of France. We just took over the operations here after fixing the causes of the initial failure and so there is a lot to do, a lot to learn, plenty of clients but not a lot of cash.
Here is the opening text of the offer:

INVITATION
Brewery training offer for an aspiring brewery person.

In the south west of France on the Etang de Thau, in Marseillan Ville, 34340.

Not for the faint of spirit

This is a real brewery – Facebook “Brasseur du Languedoc”

This is a serious training offer, not a vacation: You don’t pay us but we don’t pay you, (normally)

This is an exchange.

We give; Hands on in-depth training, Caravan, bathroom shared, WIFI, Beer & Board and stupid jokes in German, French & English.

You give; Physical work, Concentration, Commitment to studying tech. sheets & a bit of humour.

We look for a good aspiring brewery person and or festival beer roadie, starting now.

Lots more details if you are interested.

Sincerely,

Eric Lansdown
Brewer & mechanic for Brasserie Croix du Sud.
