Bord Bia craft beer and cider report 13 years 3 weeks ago #1

Last year Bord Bia commissioned some research into the craft beer market in Ireland: its size, value, profile, potential and so on. The end result is a 15-page report which isn't very in-depth but some people might find it useful, especially those with commercial brewing ambitions.

They won't allow me to post it to the site, but if you'd like a copy of it, you can e-mail the Market Information Department of Bord Bia through <!-- e --><a href="This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.">This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and ask for it. The full title is "Report on Craft Beer & Craft Cider in Ireland 2012".

South only.

"Currently there are no craft breweries north of a line from Dublin to Galway."

Actually, that wasn't even true when the report was published last September. Should've checked our map.

I'm sure the boys from Hooker will be pleased to hear that...

Well, it arrived pretty promptly. I think it would have been better to have printed the report to PDF, rather than scan a printed output, but then I'm fussy like that.

Good to see that the lovely ladies of beer make an appearance on Page 3...
