Hi Everybody

I am doing a business plan for a microbrewery for my masters (hopefully it will be a reality one day). I'm having trouble finding a distributor of brewery equipment and ingredients to price everything. Does anyone know if these are available wholesale in Ireland or do I need to look at the UK or further?

If anyone can provide me with a few company names, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Like a lot of things there isn't really a one stop shop .

There are a few people and companies that build microbreweries . Brendan Dobbin is based in Ireland ( ostensibly retired ) there's a fella based in England also <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="pbcbreweryinstallations.com/breweries.html">pbcbreweryinstallations.com/breweries.html
and you could always order one from Germany .
It's a complex process from what I gather in any way what you go at .

In terms of on going equipment and maintenence you'd be buying from similar places to the pharma companies ( Hosetech in Little Ireland Cork for example ) for hosing piping fittings valves etc .

Ingredients , you'd have to shop around and come to arrangements with the likes of Muntons in England , or Homebrewwest in Ireland ( who I think are their distributors ) or directly with the Malt Co of Ireland . for your grains or Weyermans.
Hops you'd be buying most likely on the market going to wherever has what you want at a given time.

Cleaning supplies you'd have to deal with whoever the suppliers to the Food and Beverage industry is .Similar products would be in use for dairy processing and food processing to brewing .


In short , you'll probably have to do as much legwork for this project as you'd have to do to really start it !!
