Hi all,

My name is Neil Dunne and I, along with a colleague am currently undertaking a thesis in regards to the Irish Craft Beer market for our master’s programme International Marketing and Brand Management in Lund University, Sweden. I am originally from Ireland and have a very keen interest in the craft beer market. The thesis centres around online marketing and its effectiveness in regards to consumers’ intention to purchase craft beer with the focus on the Irish market. It is hoped that the findings of our thesis will allow for craft beer companies in Ireland to better understand consumers' opinions and usage of the online medium and how this affects their intentions to purchase craft beer.

After a meeting with our supervisor today, it was decided that it would be very beneficial for the framework of the thesis to conduct interviews with craft beer drinkers in Ireland. As there is very little academic literature on this topic, these interviews will be used as a basis to back up our further analysis and therefore will be exploratory in nature.

I am returning home to Ireland for a (working) holiday and will be in Dublin from the Tuesday, 12th March to Tuesday, 19th March. I am putting this post here in the hope that some people would be very generous to offer their time to be interviewed. The interview will take between 20-30 minutes. I can travel to wherever in Dublin to conduct the interviews. I understand that this is a very late request for help but it was only decided upon today to conduct such interviews.

Sounds good, I'm also going to be conducting a thesis on the ICB industry for my MSc later this year.

I'll certainly be up for being interviewed this week. As it happens, you're coming across in the week of an Irish Craft Beer festival at George's Dock - I'd say that could be a handy place for you to hang out and interview some people (and have a skinfull of beer). Not sure exactly when I'll be there, but it'll probably be late afternoon on Wednesday or Thursday - will post here when I know for sure.

Even if we don't get to meet up, I'll fire you my email address so you can send me some Qs (if your research methods will allow for that).
