Lots of departments, and the official company address, did move to Park Royal and would still have been there for a couple of years after this article was published. But it is pretty damn awful as a piece of history. He's managed to ram the horseshit about Harwood inventing Entire into the bollocks about Guinness using roast barley in the 19th century. Not pretty. And nary a citation to be seen.

I don't know how many Diageo staff are in the UK vs Ireland, but I doubt there are more Guinness staff there. But correct me if I'm wrong!

I've no idea how the numbers were in 2003. But he doesn't say in the article that there are more Guinness workers in England than Ireland.

I think it's kind of implied...
[quote:tkolgudl]Today, there are only an estimated 500 workers left at the St. James’s Gate brewery. Many departments that once existed at St. James’s Gate have been moved to the Park Royal brewery in West London, which has long been considered the headquarters of Guinness.[/quote:tkolgudl]

But I accept your point that I may be making it up. <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

Yes, they're Scottish.
