Hi,

ever since I read "Hops & Glory" by Pete Brown I've been dying to try this beer, the trouble is, it just cannot be got in this country.

The *only* place I've seen it is at Heritage Hampers, but you have to buy 10 cases of it.

has anyone ever see it around, preferably in the Dublin area
thanks

MolsonCoors have steadfastly refused to bring it in. I think Saruman may have got an update on that recently, though.

IMO Fuller's Bengal Lancer is very much in the same league [size=70:1jrbnssj]*cough*ripoff*cough*[/size:1jrbnssj] and is an adequate substitute.

thanks, I have see it but never tried it - I'll give it a go

Heard it's due to be stocked here soon, along with Blue Moon seasonals and various other bits from MolsonCoors.

For what it's worth, I've heard they've tweaked half to death over the years, and I put Bengal Lancer and Meantime IPA ahead of it for "traditional" IPAs.

Never say that in front of a Steve Wellington groupie!

(Extra big quotes around "traditional" for the Meantime there, I hope.)

Ah, but he's retired now, no?
