MIcrobrewery start up UK vs Ireland? 14 years 1 week ago #13

As you might have guessed these thoughts have crossed my mind before as well
I know the lads in Dungarvan use one of Dave Porters breweries.
Like was said above 2nd hand is also an option, it seems there is a reasonable turn over of 2nd hand stuff in the UK

Look at the biggest Spiedel Braumeister too. It has a lot to recommend it, tho it will cost prob a min of around €11k once fermenters are thrown in.

To burst your bubble a bit,it might save you alot of stress later,if you want to set up a brewery with a view to making it a success,15 barrel size is a good minimum (540 gallon). This is based on some financial numbers. I know that there are successful operations smaller than this, but if they were asked the question, you might hear "well I would,nt start from here".

I like the look of that system. Big enough to be a consideration for small scale brewing/experimenting.Possibly could brew speciality beers for festivals etc as well and small enough that if its doesnt work out you can use it for your own personal needs

From what I've seen of his systems I dont see why you couldnt with a bit of imagination.
Get in touch with Noby on here, he's brewing with that system, I'm sure he'll have more info about it than everyone else combined.
