Greetings one and all. I have been lurking here for the last month and made up my first kit in years last saturday week (Beersmugglers Irish Ale). Its now in secondary and probably not fit to drink but it was my test batch to see what mistakes I was making and what kit needed replacing after 18 years.

I followed a link you put up for The Homebrew Company in Mountmellick and yesterday evening very late I placed an order with them. I got a call from the courier at breakfast time this morning that he was about 10 minutes away from my house and had a delivery from these guys. The prices seem good, maybe a few cent dearer than UK, but delivery is lots cheaper and they had all I needed in stock. If they continue this sort of service they will have the community at their feet.

My only problem now is do I start a Black moor stout kit tonight or the Brewferm wheat beer. I was sold on this kit because it is supposed to be very like Hoogarden one of my favourite beers. Ah well decisions, decisions.

Welcome to the forum. I'd get the wheat out the way because it's quickly becoming strong dark beer weather. I haven't used the Homebrew Co yet, but your review sounds very promisng indeed.

The Homebrew Company are a breath of fresh air as the range they carry was previously only available from abroad. As you found out their service is also very good.

Why not do your wheat beer while there is still some sunlight in the evening and save your stout for the darker nights?

I've dealt with homebrew company before and was very impressed.

I have used the Home Brew company for my last two orders and have to agree with what has been said. This is an excellent service and after a couple of months of dealing with other suppliers I think the lads are doing a fine job. I hope they continue to supply for a long time to come.
