From what the beer nut posted, it seam a lot of the major brands have had complaints against them, it’s a statutory agency and ever citizen have a right to lodge a complaint if they feel then need.

Just this attitude that Arainn Mhor seems to have that they have been wronged in some way, how many pages of bad publicity has there been over trying to find out when it was produced and its irishness

The National Consumer Agency[/url:1x50l65k] are the statutory body with real teeth in this area, and I'd say they have more important things to deal with.

I would like to point out that it is not just ICB members who read this site. There are inmumerous 'guests'. These people can be anyone and may include big industry players, retail managers, consumer survery groups, potential homebrew supply retailers, goat herders, those in other countries and members of other beer sites, and anyone else whos happy to stay anonymous while keeping tabs on ICBs level of knowledge, and in its progress and development as a site.

So the complaint may have been made by anyone, member or otherwise. A site like this one strikes me as "Resource No. 1" for anyone with a commercial interest in beer or brewing in Ireland. On this site a debate raged about possible false advertising. Somone followed this debate (I have no doubt that the complaint stemmed from this site) and decided that they wanted to complain, for whatever reason they can justify to themselves. Could have been anyone. Could've been me, could've been Arthur Guinness himself, back from the dead.

This is an important point for everyone to remember.

The fact that the beer is brewed in Belgium is mentioned on Ron Pattisan's european beer guide. Maybe he told them. Maybe we should boycot his site and invade Holland. Just in case like.
