I'd go as far as to say obsession.

Seeing some scrap at the side of the road and thinking where on your brewery you could use it.

When your 60 year old parents ask about Christmas, they inquire if you'd prefer a PH meter or a stir plate.

When you travel, you carry small vials in your coat pocket for stealing yeast strains from bottle conditioned or unfiltered beers...

On long road trips you sing 100 bottles of craft beer on the wall, and each one is specifically named.

On brewery tours you get angry looks from the other tour goers because your barrage of questions are keeping them from their free samples.

On flights through the U.S. TSA flags your bags for special screening every time because of green leafy substances, or stainless in your checked bags.
