Am starting to put a few beers in storage and am looking for some ideas. So far I have.

Sierra Nevada 30th Anniversary Charlie, Fred And Ken's Bock
BrewDog Tokyo
BrewDog Bitch Please
Rochefort 10

Few other bits but nohing much.

Going to be around Mchugh's off licence later. Whats the classic ones to put by?

Orval, Chimay Bleu, Fuller's Vintage, Bigfoot. And I reckon Porterhouse Celebration is worth a go.

To take TBN's tip from the specific to the general:

Belgian Tripels (indeed, many Belgian high gravity beers), Barleywines, Russian Imperial Stouts, most Sours and generally big flavoured, high alcohol beers. The big exception is India Pale Ales of most sorts, which start to lose hops past the 3 month mark.

I've had great results with Guinness FES, which is too cheap not to try...

Thanks. Anybody got hidden away they are particularly looking forward to trying but just bring themselves to pop the lid?

Nigel.

I now have four years' worth of Bigfoots. And every year when the new one comes out I say I'll do a vertical tasting, and always forget.
