Camra news article on EBCU and Ireland 14 years 7 months ago #1

In the October issue of Camra's "What's Brewing," it is reported that the European Beer Consumers Union (EBCU) want beer lovers in Germany and Ireland to set up their own organisations to get involved in the fight for drinkers rights across Europe. Have none of these guys heard about Beoir? I think we need to make some overtures. If I'm not mistaken there has been some discussion of the EBCU on this forum before.

That's really rather odd. The overtures have been made. They know who we are. I've some stuff relating to affiliation that I'll be posting in the members' section shortly.

It's a very short article and lacking in detail. The EBCU website even lists a German group Bier-Pro dated in June 2010, so I have no idea where the article got its information from.

There was even an Irish politician posing for a picture to go with the EBCU article... *Sigh*.

As long as it wasn't Brian Cowen, even though he is the patron saint of Irish micro breweries. <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

I'd guess it was Seán Kelly. I know EBCU have been in touch with him as part of their contacts with MEPs.
