Considering the Garda paid him 20 euro and 5 sterling which covers over half the fine. He always maintains that he never asked anyone for money - they leave whatever they like - its like you going to the offo and buying a load of drink, me drinking it and saying - "here ill give you some money for that"...or not. But a more extreme version.
I think its gas hes getting away with it.
They did a piece on him on prime time or something like that a while back. He had a till and all on the back counter.

Technically, giving someone money to go to the off licence for you, or paying them back after, is illegal.
