Hi - I've drunk this in Yamamori in Dublin and its delicious!! I wonder if anyone knows if you can buy it in off license in Dublin?

Never seen it. The label on the back says Yamamori are importing it themselves, so they may be keeping it all.

Brewing challenge?

They're importing it again?!? The last two or three times I was there they had stopped importing it and were claiming that it was too expensive because no one drank it.

Very good news, indeed! -I actually might go there tonight just to get my Hitachino fix. (The Cedar aged beers are truly amazing - and something that would've been done historically in many ancient beer cultures according to Dr. Mcgovern.)


Shanephelan, I think a "Brewing Challenge" to clone a commercial beer could be really fun and I don't think it's something we've tried before.


TBN, I've also been thinking an "Iron Chef" style brew where you pick an off-the-wall ingredient and we each brew a beer with that crazy ingredient. -This pushes creativity and promotes breaking style guidelines which I know you're a fan of. <!-- s;-) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;-) -->
