They're importing it again?!? The last two or three times I was there they had stopped importing it and were claiming that it was too expensive because no one drank it.
Very good news, indeed! -I actually might go there tonight just to get my Hitachino fix. (The Cedar aged beers are truly amazing - and something that would've been done historically in many ancient beer cultures according to Dr. Mcgovern.)
Shanephelan, I think a "Brewing Challenge" to clone a commercial beer could be really fun and I don't think it's something we've tried before.
TBN, I've also been thinking an "Iron Chef" style brew where you pick an off-the-wall ingredient and we each brew a beer with that crazy ingredient. -This pushes creativity and promotes breaking style guidelines which I know you're a fan of. <!-- s;-) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt="" title="Wink" /><!-- s;-) -->
