Any good offies in S Co. Dublin? 14 years 8 months ago #1

Are there any craft beer-friendly shops in the Dun Laoghaire/Black Rock/Dalkey crescent? I never hear any talked about here. Beermapping shows nothing between Deveney's Dundrum and Holland's of Bray.

Any local knowledge out there?

Nowhere as good as those 2 - eurospar, Killiney shopping centre has a good selection of ales - and sometimes some special offers. Other than that, none that i know of - not that familiar with the blackrock end, but dont think there is anything decent near dalkey/dunL. There's an obriens in ballybrack and another in sandycove, they are what you would expect of an obriens.

The off-license in the Eurospar in Dalkey has really upped its game recently. They have the Williams brothers beers (Jarl - delish) and a few other good beers too (Brewdog), not huge but a lot better than they were. The O'Briens in Dalkey also has Brewdog and the Carlow beers.

Jarl isn't from William's Bros, it's from Fyne Ales but yes, delish.
