murphy's stout better than guinness or bemish? 15 years 15 hours ago #7

I always got a hint of smokiness in Beamish - for the first couple anyway. Can't check my memory now it seems to have disappeared from around here in the last couple of years

A good pint of Beamish wins hands down out of the three IMHO. Lovely floral hoppy taste to it and some coffee notes I think. Murphy's is the sweetest of the three, Guiness the driest.

Not a patch on Wrasslers or Dark Arts though!

Of the three I would prefer Beamish myself, though it's been a long time since I had Murphys.

I had a pint of Wrasslers recently and it was past its best unfortunately so I'd like to try it again. Not sure Dark Arts is in the same category.

I had a lovely pint of Beamish in the Olympia Theatre of all places last week. Must try it again soon to see if I enjoy it as much.

Beamish is cheaper, therefore the best of the 3. Murphys out of the can is alot better than guinness draft cans in my book

we have run tests a few times. There is an article describing one here[/url:2veqocxz]. Murphys tends to score better than Guinness or Beamish but O'Haras usually wins.
