I didn't think it was legal to put pharmaceuticals in food products, I find it really strange that there hasn't been some attempt to shut this one down.

[quote:2v4g8zlu]"The original batch of 40 was made with real Viagra -- although we're still unsure as to whether we'll be able to sell these," said BrewDog's PR rep Alex Meyers. "If we can use real Viagra, we will. That was the original idea."

Just in case Viagra turns out to be verboten, the brewery will make the rest of the beer with "herbal Viagra, Horny Goat Weed, Ginseng and a healthy dose of Scottish sarcasm."[/quote:2v4g8zlu]The blog post announcing the beer has now gone from their website. Something's up (fnarr).

Edit: And it's just gone onto the shop with the description:
[quote:2v4g8zlu]A limited-edition beer containing herbal viagra to mark the forthcoming royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton on April 29th. Brewed using various well known aphrodisiacs, the limited edition artisanal beer will only be available to buy from the BrewDog.com website.

According to the specially commissioned label, the Royal Virility Performance contains herbal viagra, chocolate, Goat Weed and ‘a healthy dose of sarcasm’.[/quote:2v4g8zlu]

Sorry to bump the thread, but bought a bottle of this for my dad's 60th last August and finally convinced him to crack it open.

I'm going to sound like an absolute joker, but this is genuinely one of the nicest beers I've ever tasted. It's essentially a slightly aggressive IPA, but with a really pleasant/balanced complexity coming from the herbs and chocolate. Seriously gorge.

Anyone else get round to trying it?
