How To Make a Sugar Glass bottle or Mold 15 years 1 month ago #1

I need to know the above - Im best man at a wedding coming up and i plan on smashing it over the grooms head for a laugh during the speach.
If i can buy the mold that would be great - but a quick google about didnt do me any favours.
If i can buy the final product that would be even better but id imagine they are delicate to ship.
Preferably i want a champagne/wine type bottle (I saw a beer bottle mold on sale on ebay).
Ive seen numerous recipes to make the sugar glass but making the mold is the hard part.

Anyone ever done anything like this before?

Thanks for that eoin its probably the best one ive seen - have to admit it didnt pop up in my google search - i think the key is getting the mold right and this uses something called Oomoo silicone - seems the way to go. It'll be a few weeks but ill let ya know how it goes <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

I daresay standard plumbers silicone would probably do the job, work out the volume you need and buy the right amount of tubes then either cut the tube open or use a gun to get it all into the mould. Not sure what you'd do to stop that stuff sticking to the bottle though.
