Logistically though I'd imagine Diageo would prefer if MacArdles drinkers, all 3 of them, would just switch to Smithwicks. They way they could close a whole factory down.

I haven't had MacArdles in an awful long time, if at all. Does it taste that much different from Smithwicks (which doesn't really taste of anything)?

I drank the pint bottle down in blackwater last summer,they still like the pint bottle in the S/E,they even sell the pint bottle of Smithwicks as well but I resisited.It is darker in colour and I would say less sweet.

Bottled Macardle's is surprisingly common around Dublin. It's pretty watery. I've actually really liked bottled Smithwick's any time I've had it. It's far more full-bodied than the draught one.
