I guess it's time to say goodbye to everyone here. As those of you who have met me know I have been unemployed for the past 18 months. As a civil engineer the work just hasn't been there in this country so I have decided to move to New Zealand and try my luck in the land of the long white cloud. I have enjoyed all the monthly ICB meets, all the brewery tours and tasting events since joining last year. I feel like I have made good friends through this site so I would like to say thanks to you all.

I'm leaving on the 11th November so I hope to make it to the Beoir AGM in Cork. And don't Panic, I shall brew my extract blonde ale before I leave and it can be taste tested in absentia.

So, New Zealand hops eh?

Hey Brian, Sorry to see you go but I hope you have a great time and good luck with finding a job. Make sure you stay on the forums and let us know what the homebrewing scene is like in NZ.

Good luck with that. Another friend told me that he was moving to Australia just last week. All I could say to him was "go, there's nothing here for you."

I've only spent a week in NZ but it still ranks as one of the best holidays I've ever had.
