The other day, for some reason, I suddenly remembered the old Tennent's Lager cans featuring a variety of scantily-clad models. Were those sold south of the border? Some research tells me that these were still on the market in 1992. [i:2n4mqfwb]1992![/i:2n4mqfwb] Gene Hunt eat your heart out.

I found this article on beer cans[/url:2n4mqfwb] from a collectors web site and it's very interesting on the subject of the Tennent's "Lager Lovelies". I also didn't know that the beer can predates the ringpull: stick that in your knowledge base.

Yes, I remember these! Around the mid 80's I remember slabs of them being brought in to the house for Christmas. Now, I think we used to get them via my Aunt and Uncle up North, so I couldn't say whether they were available in the South, but I have a feeling they were.

I doubt they would have passed the censor down here in the 80's.
