Have there beer advertised as "Homebrew", odd, no??

It has always been thus.

It is a strange marketing strategy alright, especially given the degree of suspicion that home brew is held in by the average drinker.

Yeah it irritates me no end. I have a friend who likes to wind me up in the porterhouse, he claims he "doesn't like their homebrew" and constantly makes jibes about them having a massive bath upstairs etc. makes me want to punch him.

I think between the crowd messrs gets and the complete indifference of the staff towards their own beers it's a bit of a lost cause.

It's as bad as "homemade burgers" that you see in a lot of pubs/restaurants. I keep asking whose house were they made in?
