I'm supping some Kostritzer (Is this the definitive spelling?) It's appearance is deceptive. It has every bit the depth of a rich stout but the flavour is far more subtle and clean. Wonderful stuff.

When I'm over in the fatherland I'll usually try to get one schwartzbier in when I'm out in town. That's usually available. They also usually have [i:1k71pnek]Das Schwartze[/i:1k71pnek] from Schwaben Bräu, which is pretty local to the area (Stuttgart, about an hour from where the other half's family live), so I'm not sure we'll ever see it here <!-- s:( --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_sad.gif" alt="" title="Sad" /><!-- s:( -->
