Brng your own beer... 15 years 10 months ago #1

We got a flyer in the office here from leisureplex (bowling alley) basically trying to drum up business.
They are doing a thing where you get 2 games of bowling and a platter of food for €15 pp and you can bring your own beer...

Do they need anything special in the way of licensing to be able to do this??
Do they need a special stipulation in there public liability insurance??

Don't think so. BYO is pretty common in Australia because the majority of restaurants don't have an alcohol license. It's not unusual to find BYO in asian restaurants in the UK.

I imagine they've notified their insurers.

If it's not banned in their policy they can probably go ahead. It would be up to their insurer to decide if BYOB warrants an increase in their premiums.
