I was doing my Belgian strong dark ale last night and was just adding the second sparge water, when the container broke spilling 12-14 liters of boiling water over my foot. Spent an evening in A&E getting seen to now on crutches and lots over very strong pain killers (no drinking). An to top it all of I am off to tomorrow OZ for three weeks no snorkeling at the barrier reef for me <!-- s:evil: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_evil.gif" alt="" title="Evil or Very Mad" /><!-- s:evil: -->

Oh that's nasty.

So you'll be on crutches for the entire holiday?

Jeez thats rough man, hope you get well soon.
I'll think twice about lifting my full, boiling boiler in out of the rain so in future!
I'd say enjoy the holiday, but i don't think the flight and the heat is going to make for a very enjoyable time for you. and as for missing the snorkeling - thats really awful.

I was going to give Dr John a couple of bottles of my IPA for the 19th, but I was out of work to day, sorry., I will try to do a beer swap when I get home
