i have been thinking for a while of fashioning a wort chiller. saw a couple of plans on the net and thought...why not as its a pain in the ass waiting and stiring and waiting for the cooling of the wort. ..i got talking to a mate who does a bit of plumbing on the side and he suggested instead of half inch copper pipe (that i thought would do) i should get my hands on some microbore (micro-bore?) its a 10mm pipe which you can bend by hand and make into a coil handy enough...in fact he seemed to think it came in a coil already. all you need is some 10mm to half inch connectors for the hose and bobs your brewer....has anyone tried making their own or using this 10mm pipe or the half inch? you would need some proper gear to bend the half inch id imagine..?

I'm sure somebody else will be along with proper instructions or you can try <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="www.1800feet.com">www.1800feet.com

yeah i made one of these too. you can get 30ft of 10mm pipe in B&Q for around 28 euro.
it comes in a coil, you just need to wrap it around a corny or a paint tin or somehting to tighten up the coils. then you just either use hoseclips to put hoses on the end or solder some fittings to let you screw on the thoses or whatever. it's about 30 mins work.
