However, once you get a basic cornie setup the urge to upgrade is not far behind.
Pretty soon you have more than one cornie. Then it's a regulator and large gas bottle, so you don't have to muck about with bulbs and manual co2 charging. Then it's a co2 distributor so you can supply gas to more than one keg at a time. Next thing you know you are fitting flow control taps to a dedicated beer fridge.
I should mention that you won't regret any of this, it's just that you should be aware of what will happen.[/quote:1z6i5rb1]
i'm willing to embrace it!!!!
Think i'll wait a bit before getting a corny, i need a fridge and somewhere to put it 1st!!!
I use cornies and don't have fridge, I just keep it in a cooler with water in it and 1/2 hour before i'm going to have a pint I put in some ice packs. it's not ideal but works.
What is the outlay for a corny set up ...i see norm on ebay has 2 for 60 gbp. not sure what the other costs are to get a beer in your hand....any one have rough figures >

Around €250 for 2 kegs, regulator, Co2 bottle, couple of taps plus delivery to ireland.
Your gonna want a fridge as well, so another €250 unless you can score one for free.
