Honestly, I do think Ed has a problem with his All Grain method. The all grain beer was not nice, which is why everyone thought it was the kit.

I think we should get down to arranging the rematch, by the way. I have a kit which should challenge Ed's kit hacking skills. It's Brupaks Black Moor Stout[/url:pnh6vqz5], a quality kit, so no foul there, but it has been in with my brewing gear ever since Bugno lent it to ICB for the demo table at Septemberfest last year. I doubt he wants it back now.

Question #2 I suppose, was it a really good example of a kit beer?
Were they all bad beers, or was the kit beer good?

It was a good kit beer and even after I was told that it was kit I couldn't pick out any oxidation. I would say it was a nice fresh kit, and ed has his method down. The dry hopping helped too, I would imagine.

The kit beer was good. No one went "well it could be any of them but I think 3 is the most kitty" No one that I heard said they thought 1 had a kit tang.

Ed said the kit tang was pretty obvious to him, and he did pick it out blind, so maybe he is now more sensitive to that particular oxidative flavour than the rest of us.

What kit was it is the other question? Was it a 3kg kit or was it a kit and kilo?
