Finally the secret is out. I imagine that is worse than hardcore Lost fans who got up at 5am yesterday to watch the final episode and keeping the secret from normal lost watchers who waited till they got home to watch it on sky+

So an honest appraisal from the err mugs(this is now a proven fact). Was it a bad all-grain? Don't worry about hurting feelings, but was it a bad example of an all-grain?

The funny thing is, apart from being so cocky when Ed was driving us to his house from the train station that we would all at least get the kit that I was convinced that sample 2 was the kit because I initially did not like it and that sample 3 was the all grain.
I decided in my cockiness that the beer was too cold and elected to try room temp versions. I then changed my mind and decided number 3 was the kit and 2 was the extract.

Number 1 was always the all grain in my mind

Great article Ed. And a really fun day. Thanks for organising it.

How much would you say significantly dry hopping the kit beer impacted the results? (My guess is that this is NOT an insignificant factor...)

What happened to the AG to result in the cardboardy oxygenated flavor? -Hot side aeration?
