who's raising the prices 16 years 2 months ago #1

I was just in SuperValu to get some cider. I noticed that a tin of Guinness draught is now at €2.01. Before the budget it was €2.04 but went down to €1.96 due to the drop in tax.

Now, who is making this extra 5 cents per tin?

I asked the manager, he shrugged, said "no idea mate" and walked off looking rather annoyed.

Anyone know?

I'd imagine if it's only in Supervalu that they're the ones sneaking the increase back in.
I've noticed that most offie prices have dropped considerably, it's possible that greed is kicking in and they've decided to take the gift that the budget handed them.

Isn't it traditional to put up the prices on alcohol right before St Patrick's day?

Duvel is now up to €1.95 a bottle in Tesco from €1.88 <!-- s:x --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_mad.gif" alt=":x" title="Mad" /><!-- s:x -->

I don't remember Duvel ever being 1.88 in Tesco. Then again Tesco claim to have a lot of prices that I don't remember, despite buying the same products there several times a week.
