Having beento Germany and New Zealand recently I think it's the lack of education in the bar staff as to what they're selling here that bothers me. The beer culture in NZ is amazing. Microbreweries everywhere and staff who ate interested and knowledgeable!
Living in Galway myself so lucky enough to have a few spots to drink in.
