O'Hara's Red 16 years 2 months ago #1

Went down to the Lucan County this evening for the first time since the budget.

O'Hara's stout has been reduced by 15c to €3.35, but shock of horrors, O'Hara's Red is gone! (If it was still there it'd be €2.85 a pint)

Following on from a discussion I had with someone who didn't think so, is O'Hara's Red actually that good? The Aldi stuff is lovely, but was the plain Red just a bit bland?

On a more worrying note the Smithwicks tap has been re-instated. Can Irish drinkers really be that fickle?

Thoughts?

I think O'Hara's Red on keg is vey good, far better than bottled.

Should have said it's the O'Hara's Red tap is gone. Dunno of they still have (or ever had) bottles there.

I prefer the bottled version but I like the Draft one as well.Strangely I did not like the cask version <!-- s:? --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_confused.gif" alt=":?" title="Confused" /><!-- s:? -->
Suppose it's all down to personal preference

+1

Haven't tried the regular draft, but loved the cask version when it was on recently in the B & C, much nicer than the bottles.

Didn't O'Haras Black used to be known as Mowlings?
