I put "zymurgy" as an interest on my CV. This means it either gets ignored because they don't know what it means, they ask you what it means in the interview (which gives you a great opportunity to explain something you enjoy) or they try to look it up in a dictionary (so you can point out it is the last word) or the internet. Anything that means they are spending more time considering your CV must be good.
I've found that it can help, especially with male interviewers. In at least 2 cases the interviewer was very interested and asking for book recommendations etc.[/quote:18hesodu]

Interesting that the Poll is 12 to 5 in favour but back in 2007 it was 10 to 4 against.

...or they look for it on the internet and find the American Homebrewers Association web site.
