I'm back. 18 years 11 months ago #1

Wow, I'm out of the loop for a few days and the site goes mental. Welcome to the all of the new members; looking forward to reading all of the posts I've missed. Actually, there may be too many, for that.

I'm back from Belgium, but I'm off work on a sickie. Came off my bicycle and bruised my ribs up pretty badly. Moving, coughing, etc. is very painful at the moment, which means, no brewing for a while

On the up side, I should be able to write a few articles, as I am doing nothing better.

Ouch get well soon!
Was that caused by
- drunken cycling in Belgium after visiting 6 breweries or
- cycling in Dublin, stone cold sober or
- other?

I've also had an absence, but mainly due to being abroad working, and then coming home and working pretty much every night! Not sure which I'd prefer, work or sore ribs... hmmm

Drink that Belgian ALe I gave ya Séan. It cures what Ales/Ails ya!

I actually came off the bike on Friday evening, before I went and I was stone cold sober. The chain just jumped a gear or two and I ended up folded over the handlebars, before falling over on my side.

Took some of the joy out of my time in Gent, but then strong beer is a fairly good pain killer, if taken in sufficient quantities.

I already drank your Belgian Ale Adeptus and I must say, I enjoyed it, as did Betty. Very nice malty profile, although I thought it tasted a bit more like a Bock, than a Belgian. That's not a bad thing though. I like Bock bier.

Cool. GLad you enjoyed it. I haven;t tried any since I gave you that bottle, so I must have another sample over the weekend.

I think the main reason we called it a Belgian ALe was the copious amounts of Candi Sugar and the Belgain Abbey Ale yest
