Pints in Limerick 16 years 7 months ago #1

I am in Limerick City on a job all this week and just wondering if anyone knows of any pubs selling some nice beer? I see on the County list Limerick only has one place, UL, selling Hooker. Does anyone know of anywhere else?

Unfortunatly there isn't much to report on that front.<!-- s:cry: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cry.gif" alt="" title="Crying or Very sad" /><!-- s:cry: --> /hoegaarden on draught & budvar in bottles in mickey martins last time I was in town. Trinity rooms bar used to have a good bottle selection 12 months ago but can't say they still have.
In fact you will do well to get even a pint bottle of guinness anywhere.

UL is the only pace Ive seen hooker in Limerick. I cant say i can recommend a pub for its selection of beers, unfortunately.

Cornstore, Thomas St, Limerick 16 years 7 months ago #4

I was in the Cornstore on Thomas St for the first time last night and they have some lovely belgian beers. Duvel, Chimay, and Maredsous tripel, all served in the correct glasses! It's not really a pub, more of a restaurant with a wine bar. Fairly expensive as well, mostly between €7.50 - €8.

I must be blessed with bad luck as every pint of Hooker I've had there recently has been horrendous. Whether it's due to lack of use or poor training, pouring the pint tends to involve at least half a glass of froth being poured before the pint is pulled.
