Hi All,
Have been in Marseille for a few days now and it's not as much of a beer desert as I thought. Most places have at lease Leffe and many have other beers, including Duvel, Chimay, Hoegaarden, Pelforth, etc. to keep me going.
It is far too hot here for a Paddy like me to be comfortable, but the people seem nice enough. Looking forward to the second leg of the trip, as Milan seems to be a pretty good spot for craft beer.
