Was in local pet shop and their floating ones only went up to 50C. As I will be uing it for re-hydrating yeast from boiling water, I would prefer to have something that goes over 70C. I got two stick-ons for my fermentin buckets. They range from 18C-34C.

I then got this one <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="www.cookability.biz/judge-digital-thermometer/b_3181.htm">www.cookability.biz/judge-digita ... b_3181.htm in a home care shop in Blanchardstown SC.

I don't put the yeast in the boiling water as one might think from my last post. <!-- s:!: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_exclaim.gif" alt=":!:" title="Exclamation" /><!-- s:!: -->

I put boiling water in a glass and wait for it to cool to just under 30C <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->
