Germany celebrates today its national beer day and it seems comsumption has dropped 12 per cent during the last decade!
According to the Federal Statitics Office, total intake of beer in 2005 was 92.000.000 hectolitres, 0,5 million more that the previous year (only thanks to the football World Cup last summer).
The "Beer Day" was established in 1994 to mark the introduction of the "Purity Beer Act" by Duque William of Baviera in 1516.
To help boost exports and in solidarity with a country that produces amazing beers I´m gonna have a few tonite...
