Do you like Irish Red ales? What is wrong with them?
What Irish red ales are there? Smithwicks, Carlow, Porterhouse, Messers, Franciscean well, Mcardles is that it?
Does Bass count as an Irish red, even though it is not irish?

"a_friend_in_mead":2yu1svdv wrote: What is wrong with them?[/quote:2yu1svdv]Thinness. Lack of hop profile.
"a_friend_in_mead":2yu1svdv wrote: is that it?[/quote:2yu1svdv]Kilkenny.

A similar question could be asked about Caffrey's, and if [i:2yu1svdv]it's[/i:2yu1svdv] in, then there's all the Irish reds made by the American micros, plus the redoubtable Killian's Coloured Lager.

Say we go with just ones made in Ireland.
Where sells Mcardles?
I seriously doubt I could tell Smithwicks, mcardles and Bass apart btw.
So where serves these beers in a crawlable order?
Carlow - Bull and castle
Porterhouse
Smithwicks- Halpenny inn?
Messers Rusty
Mcardles-O'neils?
Kilkenny
Franciscean well-The Ginger Man
So that would be
Carlow - Bull and castle
Porterhouse
Messers Rusty
Mcardles -Mulligans
Kilkenny-O'neils
Smithwicks- Any random pub you pass.
Franciscean well-The Ginger Man
Being a lightweight I'd be on glasses for most of these.
