Biddy Early for sale (again?) 17 years 1 month ago #1

I just noticed an ad in CAMRA's April "What's Brewing" paper.

As mentioned on ICB, BEB had been up for sale before, but now it's "Priced for quick sale".

I remember reading a great article in a brew industry mag, talking to Peadar Garvey about setting the brewery up, including his tongue-in-cheek Blarney about magic ingredients, etc.

I think I only ever had the bottled stout somewhere once (Porterhouse, probably).

Sad to see an Irish pioneer go, but I hope a new phoenix might spring from the ashes?
cheers

It is sad, but they were trying to run a brewpub in rural Ireland. That was always going to be an uphill struggle.

They made great beers. Black biddy was top notch. The red was the only decent Irish red, and one with bogmrytle in it <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt="" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: -->
