It’s that time of year again, and my, has time flown.

ICB celebrates two years of running on the 17th of March. Doesn’t seem so long ago that Sean and I met up to talk about building the site in the form you see it in, and from that small group of original members of IrishCraftBeer.com growing into over 300 members of ICB now.

I was just saying to Sean that I remember the launch date particularly well as we had the first tasting session in Sean’s house the night before. n1mbus and I got lost trying to find Sean’s house, and we could hear the bands practicing for the parade the next day. Sean was also on call that night and had to leave oblivious, Hendrixcat, bigears, Dr.John, freedgull, n1mbus and me alone with his corny kegs. <!-- s:twisted: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_twisted.gif" alt="" title="Twisted Evil" /><!-- s:twisted: -->

So, thanks to everyone for growing the site, and more importantly, the community spirit that makes ICB so worthwhile. Long may it continue.

The site has gone from strength to strength in the last two years and just as importantly has served as a great resource to bring brewers and beer lovers together - both on the site and in the real world.

Well done to all who contibute and especially to the editorial/admin team who keep it all ticking over.

This Site has Been many things to me, a resource, a place to talk to like minded individuals, a place to make new friends, but what i would like to thank everyone involved in the site for most is, giving me something to do while bored at work, for that gentlemen i applaud you.

Well done guys! And thanks for all your efforts. I think it is fair to say that the "craft beer scene" in Ireland is a little healthier than it was 2 years ago. There are (apparently) more people brewing damn good beer as amateurs, but in a professional manner (dey taste gud!). And there are many more places (at least in Dublin) where you can go and have something decent to drink. Has ICB caused this? Almost certainly not, but still has had a significant part to play in the whole thing.

Now, time for a beer....
