Talking History on Drinking in Ireland 17 years 2 months ago #1

On Newstalk now. 9.15pm
History of pubs drinking etc in Ireland.

Actually it isn't much good. I thought it was going to be a history of drinking and beer in Ireland.
It's more about pubs and stuff. Though there's an guy on about how back in the day they used to bottle Guinness which is kinda interesting.

Bottling Guinness was the one of the steps towards the death of the smaller breweries that dotted Ireland back in the day, but it probably continued long after hundreds were closed down. </ grumble>

Expect more Guinness history this year anyway because of the 250th anniversary.

Tell you what, though: we should probably do more on that there brewery history project we started.

Sorry I missed Talking History. I do like that show. We should drop them a line when the wiki's ready to launch.
/whistles nonchalantly.

Believe me, it hasn't disappeared [i:coi36uok]completely [/i:coi36uok]from my brain. Although it certainly [i:coi36uok]looks [/i:coi36uok]like it has. I hate Wikis...
