Good news for Utah 17 years 3 months ago #1

I suppose we take our right to brew our own beer for granted. Things are improving for these impoverished people.

Well we'll see if this one actually goes the whole way into law. I hope it does.

There are many home brewers in Utah who are technically breaking the law and while the authorities are usually willing to turn a blind eye, all it takes is for a vindictive neighbour to make a complaint and police have to investigate.

It also makes homebrew clubs and tasting sessions a problem and if you happen to be pulled over by a traffic cop while transporting your brew to a party or something, you are relying on the cop turning a blind eye to what is technically contraband.

Can you imagine living in Alabama!

my favourite bit is that alcohol “inhibits communion with God.” Those Augustine monks are in a whole world of trouble if thats the case!!!

"Pocatello" - What a great name for a city.

You mightn't be able to brew your own beer but it'd be deadly to be able to refer to yourself as a Utahan.

100 gallons? That's alot more than I am technically allowed to brew at home in Germany without having to send in a form for every brew. If I had found out how to register that is... *cough*

Well done Utah! <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->
