so if the premises is run by the college, its safe to say that they have been running the bar for a while. I can assure you that they knew exactly what they were doing when they ordered 400ml plastic cups. Those cups come in all sorts of sizes, it was a deliberate move to elect that size of a measure, and the person in charge would be making a killing from it.

I think you have a responsibility to expose this sort of activity. Not only is it illegal, but it is deliberate and immoral.

Noticed the pub we were in last night after the footie were at the 400ml "pint" business as well.

did you complain in the end? ive just remembered i was at a venue last weekend and my friend noticed the size of the "pint".didnt get a chance to ask about at the time and then as happens i forgot about it. so just wondering if you took this any further?

I did complain and dropped some emails to other possibly interested parties in Cork in the hope that they will be paying attention to what is happening in this bar in the future. Not really in a position to pursue it any further myself.
