Hi all,

My name is Aaron, I'm from Clare originally but I've been living in Athlone for the last few years. Started drinking great beers like Pilsner Urquell, Spaten, Hofbrau (and still drink them regularly of course) before getting really interested in the Irish beer scene. Started homebrewing recently and I'm hooked.

Worked as a chemist analysing beer for just under a year, which really got the beer interest flowing. If anyone has any general queries on the practical aspects of beer chemistry or quality control, I'd be happy to impart what little knowledge I have!

Looking forward to posting on here, seems like a great forum.

I was in the Malt House during the week, good spot. There is a bit of activity in the midlands, there's a midlands beer group on Facebook who are quite active and meet in Tullamore. I think there's Athlone Beer Club too.
